Movie Media Meet-Ups

 4 Sessions | 2 hours each | In-person | Winter 2025

Join us this winter for a powerful Media Meet-Up series exploring decolonization & anti-racism in recreation and the outdoors. Presented by Recreation Nova Scotia and the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre’s Every One Every Day Program.

Through four in-person sessions, we’ll use Canadian films and community dialogue to uncover how colonial systems shape recreation, access, and connection to land and how together, we can move toward justice, joy, and tangible change.

Films include There’s Something in the Water, The Pass System, Freedom Swell and The Canoe.

Let’s reflect, reconnect, and reimagine recreation, for everyone, every day.
